Ewen MacIntosh, a talented actor and comedian best known for his role as Keith in the popular British sitcom ‘The Office’, has passed away in the early hours of February 21, 2024 at the age of 50 from an undisclosed illness. His management company, JustRight Management, confirmed the news of his passing on social media, expressing their sorrow and grief.
According to the statement released by the company, Ewen passed away peacefully. Ewen’s death has left his fans and colleagues in shock and mourning, as he was widely regarded as a brilliant and versatile performer who brought joy and laughter to many with his comedic talent.

The British actor was born on December 25, 1973, and is known for his role as Big Keith in The Office, UK version. He has also appeared in other comedy TV shows like Miranda and Little Britain. Recently, he reunited with Ricky Gervais in the Netflix series, After Life. MacIntosh celebrated his 50th birthday on December 25th, 2023.
After securing roles in Ricky Gervais’ popular sitcom, the entertainer later had to rely on creating personalized videos for fans on Cameo and writing for a living. He admitted that he could have landed better acting roles if he had continued to focus on his acting career.
Prior to making it big in the entertainment industry, MacIntosh worked in market research. However, his portrayal of the iconic Keith Bishop character in The Office proved to be a turning point in his life. Despite his success, he was unable to sustain his on-screen career, and went on to appear in smaller film roles and complemented it with other side jobs.
Before his death, Ewen also performed at nightclubs and events across the country as a guest DJ, playing dance floor classics. He also performed as a special guest DJ for corporate events, private parties, and even weddings.

In February 2022, Ewen MacIntosh shared a concerning update with his followers on X, previously known as Twitter. He posted a picture taken from a hospital bed with a caption that read, “Bad times for me, I’m afraid, chums. Stay strong out there.” The image showed Ewen with several ECG (electrocardiogram) stickers attached to his chest. It suggested that he was being closely monitored by medical professionals for any abnormalities in his heart rate or rhythm. The post left many of his fans worried and concerned about his health and wellbeing.

The statement from JustRight Management expressed gratitude towards all those who supported him, especially Willow Green Care Home. A private cremation will be held for family and close friends soon, with a celebratory memorial to be held later in the year.
