Doyle Brunson’s children had three children: Todd Alan, Pamela, and Doyla but lost Doyla at a young age. The Poker Hall of Fame inductee shares his two surviving children, Todd and Pamela, with his wife Louise Brunson.
Brunson’s two children both followed in his footsteps in the poker industry. Todd Alan Brunson won a bracelet in the $2,500 Omaha Hi-Lo World Series of Poker joining his father to become the first father-son combination to win World Series bracelets. Pamela also played in the 2007 World Series of Poker and the 2009 World Series of Poker Main Events.
Doyle Brunson died at the age of 89 in Las Vegas on May 14, 2023, and he is survived by his wife, Louise Brunson, and their two children; Todd and Pamela.

1. Todd Alan Brunson
Born August 7, 1969, Todd Alan Brunson is one of the best high-stakes cash game players in the world. He learned to play poker from his father Doyle who is a two-time World Series of Poker Main Event champion.
He first played poker after he graduated from high school and was accompanying his father to Australia for a poker tournament. At 18, his whole family relocated to Las Vegas but he went ahead to study law at Texas Tech in Lubbock.
During his third year in the university, Todd decided he wanted to pursue a career in poker instead. At the age of 21, Doyle’s son won his first major prize in the $200,000 Diamond Jim Brady tournament at the Bicycle Club in Los Angeles. Following his win, he dropped out of university and soon earned his first bracelet in a World Series of Poker event in the $2,500 Omaha Hi-Lo Split in 2005.
Doyle Brunson’s son has competed in several events including the Ultimate Poker Challenge series and the GNS series High Stakes Poker. He won over $13.5 million in a two-day span in a heads-up, $50,000-$100,000 limit hold-em game.
According to the Hendon Mob Poker Database, Todd Brunson’s total live earnings are over $4, 527,901 as of January 2023. However, his Twitter bio now describes him as a former poker player.
Besides playing poker, Todd made a guest appearance on one of the final episodes of the series Stargate Atlantis.
The son of one of poker’s all-time greatest legends and poker hall of fame became the co-owner of the iconic Las Vegas Italian restaurant, Roma Deli in 2017.

2. Pamela Brunson
Doyle Brunson’s daughter, Pamela Brunson (60) was a competitive horseback rider before she eventually learned to play poker. After she graduated from the University of Texas at san antonio with a degree in sociology, she started playing poker professionally.
However, she had to pursue a different career due to the fact that poker was not widely accepted at that time. She worked briefly as a front desk receptionist before she got promoted to accounting manager then marketing director and lastly, an executive director.
Pamela Brunson later moved to Las Vegas and started investing in real estate. She soon started playing poker again and this time, she became very successful in several online tournaments and live events as well.
Doyle Brunson’s daughter cashed in two events in the 2007 World Series of Poker. She had her first win at the 2007 Legends of Poker ladies’ tournament.
3. Doyla Brunson
Doyla Brunson was diagnosed with scoliosis, a crippling spinal disorder in 1975. Her mother, Louise organized a marathon prayer session, and within three months, Doyla’s spine corrected itself. Her case is said to be the third case known to US medical history at that time.
Sadly, at the age of 18 in 1982, Doyla died from a heart valve problem. Her death left her family members devastated.
