Destiny Johnson is 38 years old at the moment. She was born on May 3, 1987, in Fort Worth, Texas. While not so much about her early life and family background can be established, we garnered that she has at least two siblings, a sister and a brother named Cody Bartels who is a musician.
Destiny’s father Mr. Bartels was a US Marine and the pair shared a great relationship. According to destiny, her father taught her a number of things including respect. She often posts pictures of him on her social media. However, the same cannot be said about her mother who isn’t so known even though Destiny has also shared her pictures.
As for her education, she is a graduate of Pierce College at Fort Steilacoom in Lakewood, Washington.

As you would easily find, Destiny is married to the martial artist Demetrious Johnson. The pair first met at Red Lobster at the start of his career as a fighter and soon started a relationship. In an interview, Destiny stated that the fighter’s relentless pursuit of his passion attracted her. She also added that even though he was a full-time employee at the time, he was still focused on pursuing his goals.
The pair dated for about four years before exchanging vows in Hawaii on May 11, 2012. They have enjoyed a decade of marital bliss and still counting. In fact, Demetrious has on several accounts disclosed that his wife is the best thing that has ever happened to him and also related how incomplete he would have been without her. In another interview, he revealed that she helped him move from his troubled childhood.
Following this, Destiny has also earned the name “Mighty Wife” from their fans and friends. She is also highly respected by her husband’s fellow MMA fighters.
Destiny Demetrious is a Proud Mother of Three
The union of Destiny and Demetrious is blessed with three children – two sons and a daughter. The first child of the pair Tyren Demetrious was born in 2013, a year after their union and he’s 12 years old at the moment.
The pair welcomed another child named Maverick Demetrious to the family in the year 2015. He was born two years after his older brother and he’s 10 years old right now. Moving on, they had their third child and first daughter, Tanyth Dementrious in 2018 and she’s 7 years old.
The mother of three once revealed that batting her second and third children was very difficult and she had to go through a Cesarean section. Albeit, she added that it was worth it and that she wouldn’t mind having more children.
While not so much about the children is known, fans get to see them grow on Instagram as their parents often post pictures of them.
