When she was still applying for college admission, her Art teachers at Caddo Magnet helped her prepare for her Art portfolio application to Ringling and that experience helped her better her artistic skills.
After she graduated from college in May 2017, she interned with Electric Theatre Collective in Santa Monica.
By the time she was done with her internship, she moved to Vancouver, Canada where she produced her first movie credit with Sony animation.

Ashley Anderson decided to pursue her passion for the arts. Anderson and her thesis partner, Jacob Mann were finalists for an Oscar for their student short film “Extinguished”. Their work finished in the top 7 of 1,585 films.
Anderson revealed how they had been working on the short film for three whole semesters.
The film was well-received by so many people so it was not really a surprise that it was in the running for an Academy Award.
