Coco Lee’s sisters Nancy and Carol were quite devastated following their sister’s death on July 5, 2023. Their baby sister, Coco Lee had previously tried to commit suicide and was in a coma before she passed away. The singer’s sisters shared the news via social media and also acknowledge that Coco Lee made them proud through her successful singing and acting career.
Nancy Lee, Coco’s manager was the one who declared her sister brain dead although their mother never wanted Coco to be taken off life support. The Chinese-American singer was living with Carol at the time she attempted to commit suicide.
Coco Lee and her sisters shared a strong bond
Nancy Si Lin Lee is the second most famous among the Lee sisters. All three sisters were born to a Hong Kong Cantonese mother and an Indonesian-Chinese father. Their father died when they were still little so they moved to San Francisco with their mother, who struggled to raise them.
Formerly known as a Hong Kong actress, Nancy also worked as Coco Lee’s manager. The actress is also a yoga teacher. Often referred to as the second sister, Nancy has auditioned for the Voice of Middle Age II.
As for Carol Lee, there is very little about her except that she helped Coco when bullies were picking on her while they were going up.

Coco Lee tried to take her life while staying with her sister, Carol
Carol Lee’s sister Coco Lee spent most of her life singing. Sadly, she tried to take her life on July 2, 2023, but was rushed to the hospital where the doctors tried to revive her. Coco was reportedly found in the bathroom bleeding profusely from her left wrist.
The Hong Kong police later revealed a blood-stained nail clipper was found next to the sink in the bathroom. At the time the singer was found, she had already lost consciousness and was barely breathing.
While very little is known about Carol, reports say the singer was staying with her when she tried to take her life. Coco was hospitalized after she had been suffering from depression for several years.
While Coco was in a coma, Nancy revealed the doctors declared her sister brain dead. However, their mother refused to allow them to take Coco off life support.
Nancy also added that the doctors asked them to prepare for the worse as their baby sister’s heartbeat continued to decline. Coco remained in a comatose state until her death.
As regards her sister’s health, there were rumors that her troubled marriage with Canadian businessman Bruce Rockowitz might have led to her depression. There were also rumors that Nancy Lee’s sister had split with her husband and was in the process of finalizing their divorce when she passed.
Coco Lee and her husband did not have any children but she was stepmother to his daughters. However, she once revealed that she had nine failed IVF over the course of the marriage.
Both Nancy and Carol have poured out their love to their deceased sister. They also acknowledged all she did for them and for others who believed in her work.
Their sister would be remembered as a singer who paved the way for Chinese singers in the international music scene. Some of her songs Do You Want My Love and Wherever You Go.
As Nancy and Carol ask the public for privacy to mourn their sister, some sources believe the two sisters and their mother would be the ones to inherit the singer’s wealth and property.
