Cherie Gil’s children Bianca Rogoff, Raphael Rogoff, and Jay Gil shared several heartwarming messages on social media shortly after she passed after battling cancer.

The Filipino actress was a doting mother who despite her busy career, spent time raising her three children. The Legacy actress had her oldest son Jay Gil was born during her relationship with Leo Marinez while she had the other two with her ex-husband, Rony Rogoff.

Meet All Cherie Gil’s Children

1. Jay Gil

Jay Gil Eigenmann, 38, is the first son of the award-winning actress. He was born during her precious relationship with actor Leo Martinez.

Cherie Gil’s first son attended Ateneo de Manila University and he also has a recording arts degree from Full Sail University, Florida.

Soon after he was born, his parents separated shortly after he was born. As the oldest, he is said to be close with his two younger half-siblings. The siblings are often seen in each other’s posts on Instagram.

Jay comes from a family of entertainers. His father, Leo, 75, is also a Filipino actor, comedian, and director. His maternal grandparents Eddie Mesa and Rosemarie are actors as well.

It is not surprising that he also has chosen to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. Aside from working as a New York-based audio engineer, he also works as a production manager. Reports say he has worked alongside touring artists like Betty Who and electronic duo AlunaGeorge.

Also, he has worked behind the scenes at festivals and has worked as a head audio engineer at New York Guitar festivals and Ecstatic Music as well.

His mother once revealed during an interview that she was proud of him especially for being hard working.

Following the death of his mother, Jay Gil, and his siblings shared several photos of their mom on Instagram with some heartwarming messages. Cherie Gil’s death was announced by the family on August 7, 2022, but she actually passed on August 5, 2022, after battling endometrial cancer for a while.

2. Bianca Rogoff

Cherie Gil’s second child Bianca was born when she married her ex-husband Rony Rogoff, an Israeli violinist. Bianca has equally followed in the footsteps of her mother. There are sources that claim she made her feature film debut in 2020 in the movie Sensitive and In Love.

According to reports, the 29-year-old promising actress was seen partying shortly after her mom’s death. This stirred mixed reactions from her followers but she later revealed to her fans that she would grieve her mother whichever way she deems it.

3. Raphael Rogoff

Raphael, the youngest of Cherie Gil’s children is said to be a graduate of New York University. He studied liberal studies and majored in ethics, religion, and law.

Bianca and Raphael’s parents were married for 20 years before they separated. When the marriage ended, they were under their father’s custody in Israel while Jay stayed with their mother in the Philippines. However, there are sources that claim Cherie and Rony reconciled in 2021.
