Charlie Robison, an American country music singer-songwriter, had four children with Emily Strayer and Kristen Robinso: Charles Augustus, Julianna Tex, Henry Benjamin, and Jett James. Unfortunately, these children will have to live without their father, who passed away on October 10, 2023, at a hospital in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 59 from complications related to cardiac arrest.

Their father is best known for My Hometown, one of the most popular songs from his 1998 album, Life of the Party. In 2018, he was forced to quit music due to a throat surgery that left him unable to sing.

Before delving into the subject of concern, it is important to briefly talk about how their parents met and married.

From 1999 to 2008, Charlie Robison and Emily Strayer were married for nine years. They connected because of their shared interest in the Texas music scene and because they were both country music performers. They filed for divorce in January 2008 and finalized it on August 6, 2008, at the Bexar County Courthouse in San Antonio, Texas. The actual reason for Charlie Robison and Emily Strayer’s divorce is unknown, although the divorce papers state that the marriage had “become insupportable because of discord and/or conflict of personalities.”

During the marriage, the two shared three children, Charles Augustus, also known as Gus, and twins; Julianna Tex and Henry Benjamin.

  • Charles Augustus Robison A.K.A. Gus

Charles Augustus Robison is the eldest child of Charlie Robison and Emily Strayer. He was born on November 11, 2002, in San Antonio, Texas, three years after his parents married. He is currently 22 years old.

He weighed 8 pounds and 13 ounces, and he was 21 inches long at birth. His middle name ‘Augustus’ was inspired by his parents’ favorite character in Lonesome Dove, a novel by Larry McMurtry and a TV miniseries starring Robert Duvall and Tommy Lee Jones.

Gus was 5 when his parents’s marriage came to an end.

  • Julianna Tex Robison And Henry Benjamin Robison (The Twins)

Julianna Tex Robison and Henry Benjamin Robison are the twins of Charlie Robison and Emily Strayer. They were born on April 14, 2005, so they are both currently 20 years old. Julianna weighed 6 pounds and 10 ounces, while Henry weighed 6 pounds and 14 ounces at the time of their birth.

They were 3 years old when their parents divorced.

After courting for a few years, Charlie Robison married his second wife, Kristen Robison, in June 2015. They held a little beachside ceremony in front of their loved ones.

5 years after the wedding, Charlie and Kristen welcomed their first child, Jett James, born in April 2020. He is 5 years old now. Additionally, he is the fourth child of the late American country music singer.

Their Father Died After A Cardiac Arrest And Other Complications

At the age of 59, their father, Charlie Robison passed away on September 10, 2023. He experienced cardiac arrest and other issues before passing unexpectedly at a hospital in San Antonio, Texas. His wife, Kristen Robison, posted a message on Facebook confirming his passing and requesting prayers for their family.

2018 saw Robison’s musical career come to an end after a throat operation left him unable to sing. On Facebook, he announced his retirement, expressing his gratitude to his followers and friends and announcing that he had lost his voice permanently.

Although their father is no more, he will be remembered for his rootsy anthems and independent spirit, which made him a popular figure in the Texas country music scene. He released several albums, such as Life of the Party, Step Right Up, Good Times, and High Life. He also had a hit song with “I Want You Bad” and a cover of Keith Gattis’ “El Cerrito Place“. He was a judge on the reality TV show Nashville Star for one year.
