British journalist and critic Celia Walden is widely known as the wife of broadcaster Piers Morgan. She has an impressive career as an English broadcaster. Known for her commentaries on women’s issues and social etiquette, Piers Morgan’s wife has worked as an author and columnist for quite a number of outlets like Glamour magazine, GQ, Elle, Porter Magazine, and The Spectator. She has worked for the Evening Standard and Daily Mail as a journalist.

Piers Morgan’s wife was born in Paris on December 08, 1975, to her parents George Walden and Sarah Nicolette Hunt. However, she was raised in London alongside her two siblings; William and Oliver.
Celia Walden’s father is also an English journalist and a former diplomat who has served as a member of Parliament for Buckingham(1983-1997) as well as a former minister for Higher Education. Her mother is an art historian.
For her educational pursuits, the English broadcaster went to elite Westminster school and later Cambridge University where she studied French and Italian Literature.

Celia Walden started her career in journalism as a feature writer and columnist for Daily Mail. She also worked as an editor for the Daily Telegraph’s diary section Spy. In August 2008, she published her first novel, Harm’s Way.
As a journalist, Celia has written commentaries on lifestyle, entertainment, and social etiquette. In 2011, she wrote a memoir, Babysitting George about her time with footballer, George Best but was not well received by the footballer’s wife, Alex Best who revealed Celia only spent a few days with him.
The social critic’s book was BBC Radio 4’s Book of the Week. It was also nominated for the William Hill 2011 Sportsbook of the Year prize.

According to reports, Walden started dating the former Good Morning Britain host in 2006 while he was still married to his first wife, Marion Shalloe. Piers married Shalloe in 1991 when he was 26 years old.
Piers’ first marriage ended in 2008 and he went ahead to marry Celia in 2010. Their wedding took place at St. Mary’s Church on June 24 in Swinbrook, Oxfordshire.
Celia Walden’s husband announced there were expecting their first child together in June 2011 and on 25 November, the couple welcomed their daughter Elise Pughe-Morgan. While 13-year-old Elise is Celia’s first child, she is Piers’ fourth child and only daughter.

While working as a writer for the Daily Mail, the social commentator was accused of using several pictures that showed too much skin for her column, Spy. However, she continued to ignore her readers’ comments about her picture until the newspaper diary segment was scrapped.
In March 2011, Walden’s article in Daily Telegraph was labeled insensitive due to the way she reportedly wrote an impassionate piece about her disgust for cyclists. The said article was published the same week a cyclist was killed in central London by a heavy goods vehicle. Also, the article was condemned by the Cycling Intelligence website.
While Celia is not known to have many controversies, her husband, Morgan has been involved in quite a number. Of recent, he has been in the news for publicly criticizing Meghan Markle and her husband, Prince Harry.
