She was born on 19th June 1993 in Denver, Colorado, the US to her late mother Beth Smith, and her father Keith Alan Barmore. Two years before her birth, her parents walked down the aisle as husband and wife. Sadly, the marriage didn’t last as it ends in divorce right after she was born.
Many years after the divorce, her mother relocated to Honolulu from Colorado. And it is from there that she went to marry Duane Chapman in 2006. After the marriage, he adopts Cecily as his daughter, which is why she bears his surname.
She spent her remaining childhood days with her half-siblings from her mother’s previous marriages. They are; Bonnie Chapman, Garry Chapman, and Dominic Davis.
While growing up, she enjoys putting on pretty clothes, modeling, and photography.
Cecily Chapman Was Arrested For Domestic Violence
She was allegedly arrested for domestic violence after punching her ex-fiance. And even went as far as bitting him in a dangerous physical fight. According to sources, Hawaii police were informed about the incident before midnight on 31st July 2021.
On reaching the scene, the alleged victim, Matty Smith, made claims about her punching him in the face. According to him, the duo has been drinking before Cecily became “verbally and physically abusive”.
He tells the police how she punches him on both sides of his face and bit his upper back. This leaves him with bruises and swellings. Officials went on to state that she is accused of abusing him before, however, this is the first time, he calls the police.
The police arrest her for misdemeanor abuse of a household member.

1. She Suffers Depression As A Result Of Her Mother’s Death
She shares a strong bond with her mother while she was still alive. Everything came crashing when her mother dies from throat cancer in 2019. Two years earlier, she was diagnosed with it, but no one knew she would lose the battle in 2019.
The death of her mother hits her like a train. She falls into depression, but after organizing her mother’s memorial, she started to heal from the scar.
2. She Intends To Use Her Mother’s Wedding Dress At Her Wedding
If she is ever going to walk down the aisle, then she would do adorning herself in later mother’s wedding dress. To her, wearing the dress would be a form of a memorial to her mother. Although, she would make some adjustments before wearing it.
3. No Charges Were Filed Against Her For Assaulting Matty Smith
When she was arrested for domestic violence against her then-fiance, Matty Smith, Cecily confirms there was an incident. However, according to her claims, it was an “altercation where a man struck me and said vile thongs about the memory of my dead mother”.
She further claims that she used proportional response, disabled the aggressor, and stood up for the memory of her mom. According to Cecily, her mother would have handled the situation in the same manner she did.
Since the Prosecuting Attorney’s office is yet to file charges, she considered the whole drama “resolved”.
4. Her Wedding Is Off
Initially, Cecily’s wedding was scheduled for 1st December 2021 after her engagement to Matty Smith on 2018 Christmas day. As it is now, the wedding has been canceled.
She reveals that she and Matty are not tying the knots as expected this winter. However, this doesn’t mean the relationship is over. The two are just taking a break.
According to her, she is not sure when the wedding will hold- whether in a year, 6 months or 2 years or for a long time.

She previously reveals that she didn’t get an invite to her father’s wedding. She said if she is invited, she would attend.
Duane Chapman ties the knot 0n 2nd September 2021, with Francie Frane whom he met 6 months after the death of Beth Smith. She also lost her husband to cancer in December 2018.
