Carla, in a bid to disassociate herself from the life she was born into, sought refuge in the arms of Joseph Ferragamo. While marking her name in Hollywood, she met Joseph known also as Joe and they got married in the year 2000.

While growing up, Carla realized that her family had an affiliation with the mob and it was the reason behind her dad’s imprisonment. She also lost her uncle due to this involvement with the Luccheses crime family.
Her dad, Louis ‘Louie’ Facciolo owned part of the Portofino Soccer Club in Canarsie, Brooklyn, and the men who ran the business were renowned criminals who dealt in stolen goods.
After years of doing illegal business and fraternizing with criminals and mobsters, Louie was then involved in an operation that had the FBI’s interest. As the deal was foiled, Louie and other gang members were arrested and imprisoned.

Carla Facciolo tried to run away from the life of crime but couldn’t really completely achieve that. Her marriage to Joseph Ferragamo wasn’t what she expected it to be and once again, another man in her life was imprisoned.
Joesph was a businessman who dealt in stock and eventually got arrested in 2004 for stock fraud. He was sentenced to 6 years imprisonment and while in prison, Carla decided to divorce him when he got out.
