Bobby Bruce is an American reality TV star who came into the limelight when he joined the show “Last Chance U” in 2017. He was involved in several criminal activities while on the show which led him to be eliminated. His life of crime could be attributed to his rough childhood.
The “Last Chance U” star is married to Armour Imani and they welcomed their first child BJ, in 2019. The father of one requested help on his social media platform. He claimed he did not want it to be too late for his young son.
Who is Bobby Bruce? Early Life and Bio
Bobby Bruce was born in Titusville, Florida, on December 1, 1997. He was raised by his grandmother, Margret alongside his older brother who serves in the military.
Growing up, Bruce was involved in many unfortunate events, which included a shootout right outside his home when he was 7, and losing his home to a fire when he was about 8 years old. He also witnessed the death of a relative via shooting.
He attended Titusville High School where he was an active member of the School’s football team. Bruce graduated high school in 2017. He also loved playing basketball.
Bruce was inspired to play football by his older cousin, Johntay Gowdie, who was a gifted player. At the time, Bruce was interested in Basketball. However, his cousin’s love of the sport inspired him to try it out. Sadly, his cousin was shot and killed after leaving one of Bruce’s summer league basketball games.
Bobby Bruce and the “Last Chance U”
The youngster became famous after he appeared in a Documentary series, “Last Chance U”, produced b Netflix. The show featured young athletes who have trouble navigating their way through their lives and careers.
Bruce is a talented linebacker who joined the Indy Pirates football team in the 2017 season. He was always in and out of trouble, and while others focused on getting Division I scholarships, the 26-year-old linebacker had to focus on keeping himself out of trouble.
His troubled and rough upbringing caused many viewers of the show to root for him.
Despite being a minor at the time, he was a compelling player which was recruited by Coach Jason Brown. Bruce was talented but he had confidence and discipline issues which got his coaches and team members worried.
Sadly, he was removed from the team before the end of the 2018 season due to his lack of discipline.
The “Last Chance U” Star was Arrested for Armed Robbery
In June 2018, Bruce was arrested in connection to a robbery where 3 men stole an iPhone and $450 in cash at gunpoint, the robbery took place in May, this was while he was still in Indy. However, the charges were dropped as there was no evidence against him.
Prior to his dismissal from the show, Bruce was caught on a security camera entering a student’s dorm and stealing some money. This was what led to his dismissal from the show and the end of his college career.
Sadly, The young footballer player has been in a lot more trouble after leaving the show. In February 2020, he was arrested in Florida for the possession of hard drugs, cocaine to be specific, and drug paraphernalia.
In March of the same year, Bruce was arrested again for resisting arrest and fleeing a police officer. He was also arrested for grand theft larceny over $750, under $5000, and Violation of Probation. His bond was set at $7500.

After leaving the “Last Chance U” In 2018, Bruce joined and played for the Arena Football Team, Manatee Neptunes in May 2019, and played for the team as a linebacker.
Bobby Bruce welcomed a child, Bobby J, fondly called BJ, with his girlfriend, Armour Imani on February 21, 2019.
The “Last Chance U” star seems to be struggling to put his acts together for the sake of his son. He posted on Twitter that he needed help before it was too late for his Son.
Bruce seems to share a very good rapport with his son as his pictures are littered on the Reality TV star‘s Twitter page. However, he seems to have gone off the radar as he hasn’t posted anything since 2021.
With his determination to be better for his son, we are hopeful that Bruce will do away with the life of crime for good and seek help where necessary, in order to be a better father and husband. Who knows he might have another shot at his football career.
