He began his career in the film industry at the age of 7, when he acted as Frank Furillo, in the series Hill Street Blues. This ended up being his first and only acting role as he ended up finding a career behind the camera.
He began his behind-the-scene career as an associate producer on a television series his father was working on. Jesse has gone ahead to direct episodes of NYPD Blue, Over There, Commanding Chief, and Raising the Bar.
The American filmmaker has been married to Kate Danson, daughter of actor, Ted Danson.
