What Happened to Ann Fleischer?

Per reports gotten from mynewsgh.com, Ann Fleischer was born Anneliese Fleischer on November 6, 1925. Given that news about her whereabouts is not one that is readily available, we couldn’t gather much on what she has been up to.

Rumor has it that she passed away back in 1997 but the information wasn’t backed with concrete evidence.

Fleischer was born into the household of Arthur Fleischer. The man was a Solicitor General of the United States of America during the reign of President Franklin D. Roosevelt.

She hails from Germany, just like Henry Kissinger, and attended a high school in the United States after moving from Germany with her family.

In fact, she and her ex-husband met while in high school. Henry attended George Washington High School but left the school after his first year.

Upon leaving, he then went on to attend night school because he had to work during the day.

As details about Henry Kissinger’s wife’s early life aren’t readily available for insights, we can only tell this much. However, she has at least 1 sister known as Lenore Fleischer Reich.

Ann Fleischer met her first husband, Henry Kissinger, while at high school, as already stated.

The romance between them started back then as their dating history dates back to those years.

When Kissinger went off to the army shortly after high school, they remained in touch.

During the late 1940s, Ann and Henry reconnected and by February 6, 1949, they got married. At the time of this union, Henry was a student at Harvard College.

The details of their marriage didn’t make a lot of rave at the time because Kissinger’s career took center stage in his life.

The marriage lasted for 15 years, until 1964 when the couple ended their union in a divorce.

The reason for the divorce was left bleak just as most information about their marriage.

Close friends and associates believe that it was quite a turning point in Henry’s life and it changed his approach to many things.

Popular belief is that the split was a mutual agreement and they parted amicably.

In the 15 years of marriage, Henry Kissinger and his first wife, Ann Fleischer, bore 2 children. Their first child was a girl named Elizabeth who was born in 1959. Their second child is named David and he was born in 1961.

Elizabeth and David were both 5 and 3 when their parents went their separate ways.

Their Children Are Both Successful in Different Fields

The first Kissinger kid, Elizabeth Fleischer-Kissinger was born on March 27, 1959, in Boston. The 66-year-old is the first and only daughter of diplomat Henry Kissinger.

Though she loves the quiet life, her career reportedly involves teaching as a professor at Yale University and being a molecular biologist, according to newsunzip.com.

Her younger brother, David has a more publicized resume and isn’t shy of the spotlight, just like his father.

David was born on July 31, 1961, in Boston, Massachusetts, as well. His career spans writing, producing TV shows, and heading a TV production company known as Conoco.

For his writing career, after studying History and Literature at Harvard University, he graduated in 1983 and began writing for The Harvard Crimson – his alma mater’s newspaper.

The 63-year-old then freelanced for magazines such as Vanity Fair, Esquire, The New Yorker, and The Boston Globe. He also did a book review for The New York Times.

His stint in the movie industry came when he moved to Los Angeles and began to work as a script reader and story editor for various film and television studios.

At the age of 34, David Kissinger joined NBC and had a boisterous career there for 10 years.

When he left NBC in 2005, he became the president of Conoco.

Did Ann Fleischer Remarry after her Divorce to Henry?

After Fleischer and Kissinger’s divorce, it wasn’t certain if Ann remarried but her ex-husband did. He got married once more although contrasting reports suggest that he was married 2 other times.

According to the-sun.com, the German-born politician, diplomat, and political scientist got married to Seal G Cohen who died from heart failure in 2010 at the age of 93.

However, Kissinger’s Wikipedia page carries only one other marriage information.

Henry Kissinger, born Heinz Alfred Kissinger, got married to Nancy Sharon Maginnes on March 30, 1974. Nancy is an American philanthropist and socialite.

Nancy was a student at Harvard College where Kissinger worked as a professor.

The union produced no children but they remained together for almost 5 decades.
