Andrew Parker Bowles formerly known as Brigadier Andrew Henry Parker-bowels and Camilla Parker Bowels’ ex-husband is a private person. Safe for his dealings with the Royal House and the relationships involving him, there isn’t a lot of information about the 85-year-old.

Nonetheless, thanks to his relationship with Princess Anne and subsequent then-marriage to the current Queen Consort of the United Kingdom, Andrew’s name and identity are of paramount importance.

Andrew Parker Bowles shared more than romantic relationships with the members of the royal family. In fact, his closeness to the household stemmed from his family’s relationship with the Queen Mother and his service to the country as an Army Officer.

Where is Andrew Parker Bowles?

The last heard of Andrew Parker Bowles was in 2021 when he was seen as part of the Royal Ascot.

The Royal Ascot is a royal ceremony and one of Britain’s most famous racecourses. It is usually held on a special day in June and usually has the English Monarch in attendance.

Andrew Parker Bowles, alongside the Royal Family, was present to watch the race. His company comprised Princess Anne – Queen Elizabeth II’s second child, and only daughter. Also in attendance were Prince Charles and his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall; Camilla.

However, before this, he made news on April 1, 2020, after he contracted the Corona Virus.

The Queen Consort’s Ex-husband had a Brief Relationship with Princess Anne

Born on December 27, 1939, Andrew served as an Officer in The Household Cavalry and Royal Army Veterinary from 1960 to 1995, according to Animals in War Memorial Fund.

The Queen was close to Andrew’s father and so, this guaranteed him a close relationship with the Royal Household. Additionally, some sources claim the Queen Mother was Andrew’s godmother.

Andrew met Princess Anne at the 1970 Royal Ascot. From there, Parker became close to the Queen’s only daughter. The pair began to date but were unable to get married because Parker-Bowles was Catholic, and the Royal Family are Anglicans.

Andrew Parker Bowles and Princess Anne remained close friends to date. He is even the godfather to Zara Tindall, Anne’s daughter.

Andrew Parker Bowles’ Scandalous First Marriage to Camilla

Moving on, Andrew had previously met Camilla at her debutante party in 1965. During their 7 years of dating, they were on and off in the relationship but eventually got married in 1973.

Throughout the marriage, there were a lot of reports of infidelity from both parties. Andrew was said to be a notorious cheat who was unfaithful to his wife and even cheated on her with her friends.

On the other hand, Camilla allegedly started a relationship with the Prince of Wales, Charles. Royal writer; Junior, claimed this relationship was birthed by the need for revenge. Camilla’s love, Andrew was cheating on her with Princess Anne and so, she sought revenge by having a fling with her brother.

The prince however went on to marry Princess Diana but was still seeing Camilla in secret.

Diana had confessed, before her divorce from the Prince, and unfortunate death, that they were 3 in their marriage. This hinted at the extra-marital affair her husband was having with Camilla.

Eventually, Andrew called for a divorce. According to multiple sources, it wasn’t Camilla who called for the divorce but Andrew, despite his infidelities. He reportedly couldn’t stand her cheating with now King Charles III.

85–year-old Andrew Parker Bowels Remarried

Parker Bowles and Camilla Parker Bowles’ marriage came crashing about the same time as that of Prince Charles and Princess Diana. The latter separated in 1992 and got divorced in 1996. Meanwhile, Queen Consort, Camilla’s ex-husband got divorced from her in 1995.

By 1996, Andrew Parker Bowles remarried a woman known as Rosemary Pitman. She was a friend and companion of the Queen Consort’s ex-husband for a long time. Their marriage lasted until 2010 when she died of Cancer.

While alive, Rosemary and Parker Bowles remained friendly with Andrew’s ex-wife who had gone on to marry her lover, Prince Charles. The couple even attended the wedding of the Prince to Camilla.

The Queen Consort and Her Ex-husband Had Two Children Together

From the over 2-decade-long marriage between the Queen Consort, Camilla, and her ex-husband, they welcomed two children; Tom Henry Charles Parker Bowles and Laura Rose Lopes.

Tom Henry was born on December 18, 1974, and is a food writer and critic. He got married to Sara Buys and has 2 kids; Lola Parker Bowles and Freddy Parker Bowles. Sadly, the marriage ended in 2021.

Laura Parker Bowles was born on January 1, 1978. She studied History and Marketing but is a renowned art curator. Laura has been married to Harry Lopes since May 6, 2006, and with him, she has 3 children; Eliza Lopes, Louis Lopes, and Gus Lopes.

With the death of Queen Elizabeth II and the subsequent ascension to the royal seat by Charles III, Andrew’s ex-wife becomes Queen Consort. Given this, details about her that may have been forgotten are resurfacing, including her scandalous marriage with Andrew Parker Bowles.

Andrew is a grandfather and is likely focused on his family. However, he still has links to the Royal family and has been seen a lot of times with them. These meetings and appearances may not stop any time soon. As stated, as current as last year, Parker Bowles still attends royal functions upon invitations. He is also still close to Princess Anne.
