Anastasia Kochervey was a reality star who had her breakout on one of Russia’s hit shows, Dom-2 in 2019. Also an actress, the Russian beauty found herself crossing to a life of sex work to support her family. She seemed to be having a lot of things going well for her until she disappeared at the start of August 2022 and was later confirmed dead.
Weeks after she vanished, Anastasia’s body was discovered in a river in St Petersburg. With investigations trying to uncover how the 28-year-old reality star died, here is all we found out about her.

Anastasia Kochervey was born on November 9, 1993, in Sovetskaya, Russia. Though she never revealed details about her immediate family or siblings, it is likely that she was close to her parents. There are allegations that the reality star once claimed that she helped to facilitate her parent’s divorce which suggests that they are no longer together.
As regards her education, it remains shadowy the schools that Anastasia attended. Yet, she claimed to have attended dance school before she embarked on a journey of physical fitness.
How She Became a Reality Star and Contested for “RUSSIAN BEAUTY 2019”
The Russian made her debut in 2017 on the television show Let’s Get Married (2017). Yet, she failed to gain instant recognition. 2 years later, she became an instant sensation following her appearance on the Russian reality series, Dom-2, one of the longest-running shows in the country. The show’s storyline focused on building relationships.
Anastasia Kochervey made an impression on the show. Not only that, but she also met and started dating her fellow cast member Andrey Shabarlyn. However, their relationship was rocky from the beginning.
Apart from this, the Russian former TV star was part of the beauty contest organized by a beauty brand called World Beauty and Slava Zaitsev Fashion House. She appeared alongside other contestants in the event that lasted for two days in March 2019.
According to her, she won the title of “Miss Russia Grand Prix” which allegedly led to an invitation to participate in Miss Universe 2019. This claim, however, has not been ascertained.
She Allegedly Had a Career in a Real Estate Firm
Anastasia has proven to be a versatile person. Her skills include the real estate business. In 2019, she made the announcement that she was now a marketing executive for a real estate firm called Damac.
Apart from her career that set her up for fame, she supposedly applied for the position of an international sales representative to represent their luxury apartments and villas in Dubai. After getting the job, she joined the outfit which she refers to as the largest developer in the United Arab Emirates. Her job requirement included talking about projects, advertising, and sending clients to Dubai.
Despite her sharing the information on her Instagram, some of her followers were not convinced of the nature of her job as some felt she was going to be used as bait for potential clients.
Whatever the case, the job purportedly did not last long. When her followers inquired as to why she no longer worked for Damac, she replied that they encountered some difficulties.
There Were Controversies About Anastasia Kochervey Before Her Death
Her Being in a Turkish Prison Left Her a Permanent Scar
Some of the unfortunate details about Anastasia’s life include being imprisoned in another country. Back in 2018 while pregnant, she got arrested in Turkey while buying clothes for her store in Moscow. Apparently, she had opened the store after her appearance on the reality show and often went to Turkey to buy clothes.
On the sad trip, the Turkish authorities charged into her hotel room to arrest her. She was charged with fraud and taken to a local prison but as it turned out, they didn’t have strong evidence.
However, while in prison, she accidentally pushed one of the inmates. Like in many prisons, this altercation led the inmates to beat her up despite her using signs to tell them that she was pregnant.
Following this, her lawyer was able to step in and have them drop the charges while securing her release.
Following her return to Russia, she fell sick and went to the hospital. It was while at the hospital that she had a miscarriage. Unfortunately, her ordeal in the Turkish prison would lead to other life-changing experiences caused by the miscarriage. Her doctors told her that she could not get pregnant again.
Anastasia Kochervey Turned Into a Sex Worker To Pay For Her Mother’s Cancer Treatment
The reality star was said to have placed her family above any other thing. As such, she made enormous sacrifices to ensure she has them around for a long time. Her mother’s cancer diagnosis was not different as Anastasia found a way to keep her around her.
At first, the then-24-year-old tried other things to earn money for her mother’s treatment after she was diagnosed. But the amount she realized was not enough.
It is reported that she turned to sex work despite the fact that she was still dating Andrey to meet up with the cost of her mother’s cancer treatment. She is said to have slept with an unnamed man twice to raise the money.
While sex work is an item for many debates, the reality star-turned-sex-worker once defended her choice back in 2018. She aired her displeasure at having become a sex worker and not being proud of it. Yet, she considered it a gift from God since the earnings enabled her mother to live longer.
Later on, she may have continued with the sex work as it is claimed she charged as high as £700, an amount equivalent to 50,000 rubles per night. She is said to have charged double to have sex with strangers.
Away from her mother and what she had to do to meet her medical needs, Anastasia was scared she could also get cancer too. As such, she had other surgeries.
Anastasia revealed that she had new ones to help correct the issues that the previous implants had caused. She also encouraged people to go to genuine clinics for their surgeries.

She Confessed To Being Gay Shortly Before Her Death
Despite spending years of her life as a straight woman, she surprised many when she came out as gay. According to her, she no longer has the desire to have sex with men.
Notwithstanding, the late reality star was known to have had problems with another actress, Alena Kravets, due to her sexual escapades. Until her death, their relationship had turned sour. As the story goes, Anastasia had forced a friendship between the two women.
At her death, the actress revealed the reason for their unfriendly relationship. According to her, Anastasia betrayed her when she announced that she was sleeping with her husband. Moreso, Anastasia went as far as doing intimate plastic surgeries in 2019. For now, the truth about such surgery and why she did it may never be known.

How Did Anastasia Die and What Was the Cause?
The reality star turned sex worker and socialite is suspected to have been murdered, but who is responsible remains a mystery at the time of this writing. What is clear is that the police have now launched an investigation into uncovering what really happened to her.
That said, many in her circles did not find her end surprising considering her lifestyle. One of her friends, Olesya Malibu, revealed that there was nothing shocking about what happened to her, looking at her rather scandalous lifestyle.
The friend also revealed that Anastasia once got into trouble with a man who threatened to kill her, and that was one of the reasons why she left Moscow.
Prior to her death, she moved to St. Petersburg. Her mother would report for a missing person after her absence was noticed in early August 2022. A search for the actress came to an end after a half-naked female body that was discovered in a river in St Petersburg on August 13, turned out to be that of Anastasia.
At the time the body was found, the person was not identified but a few days later, the police connected the identity to Anastasia who had been reported missing by her mother weeks earlier. Moreso, the police linked the playing cards tattoo found on the back of the victim to the reality star.
It became official that the dead body found was that of Anastasia after the police summoned her mother who stayed in Krasnodar to come and identify the body found in St Petersburg.
The sadly killed Anastasia Kochervey may have lived a life of fame but her murder remains one of the 4.7 homicides per 1000 population in Russia. Will her killing be solved or become one of the 15% unsolved murders in the country?
