Following the news of the death of renowned American actor, Andre Braugher, light has been shone on his grieving wife, Ami Brabson.
The 2 have been married for over 3 decades and have 3 sons from the union. Aside from being married and raising their sons together, Andre and Ami shared many more things in common.

Ami Brabson Braugher played the role of Mary Pembleton for 19 episodes of the series. Her husband, Andre, also played her husband in the series. He was Detective Frank Pembleton for 100 episodes of the series.
On December 28, 1991, the couple got married and spent 32 years married with 3 children.
Ami and Andre bore sons, Michael, Isaiah, and John Wesley during their first few years of marriage. Michael even followed his parent’s paths and chased a career in acting after graduating from Juilliard.

Ami Brabson is not only phenomenal at acting she is also great at producing, writing, and performing. She has performed many one-woman acts on stage and has wowed many audiences with her outstanding performances.

Late Andre Braugher admitted during an interview in 2020 that his wife complemented him well on set. They have both worked together in a series and so he confessed that their understanding of each other helped them interpret their roles well.
According to the Brooklyn Nine–Nine actor, his wife knows him like the back of her hand. This has not only helped them work together but has also helped them in their outside work life as a family.
While talking to the Washington Post, Andre also praised his wife’s acting. He described her as a fine actress who he could communicate with easily.
They share their careers, and a family consisting of their 3 sons, as well as a similar background and upbringing. Because of the latter, Ami Brabson understood and knew her late husband like the back of her hand. This further made their marriage relatively seamless.
Andre once even had to leave shooting Brooklyn Nine-Nine to return home to his wife and kids. According to the actor, he wanted to spend a lot of time with his family.
He wanted his sons to know him beyond being just the father who was around once in a while.

On Monday, December 11, 2023, the news of the demise of actor, Andre Braugher made media rounds. He was aged 61 at the time of his demise which came after he suffered a brief illness.
Following Andre’s demise, he left behind his wife of over 30 years, Ami with their 3 sons.
His death happened just a few weeks before their wedding anniversary which would have been on December 28, 2023.
