It was in Chungcheongnam-Do Yesan on September 1, 1981, that Park Hyo-shin was born.
He has always had the talent for singing and so as a young chap, he took to singing the popular Korean traditional genre known as trot.
His family owned a restaurant but instead of going into that business, he joined his friends to start singing and going to competitions when he was still in high school.
They ended up winning many such competitions which helped him in later launching his career.
2. He once thought of leaving music
Although he has always had all the talent he would need to succeed as well as a good foundation, it was not rosy for him.
This is as after he started, he was first trained under the Korean entertainment company but it would later fold due to financial challenges.
He would then move to another company that would force him to pay compensations to the company after he ignored a sponsor.
This among other things made him consider forget his career and leaving what he has grown up loving until he met composer Hwang Yoon Min who would guide him to his debut album, Things I Cannot Do For You.

Although he is heading towards 40, the singer is still not married. In fact, like most other K-Pop stars, not so much is known about his relationship life or even who he is dating.
In 2015, there was a wild rumor that went around claiming Park Hyo-shin was married to actress Jung Reo Won.
However, she later revealed that even though she is a big fan of the singer and had even attended his concerts, she didn’t even have his number so it came to her as a surprise when she read the report that they were married.

There have been some lawsuits against the singer for different things including interior construction fees which have been put at around $8,000 which is 10 million Won.
Before then, there was a fraud lawsuit also against him which is said to be worth $329,000 approximated at 400 million won.
It was as a result of luxury gifts he got following a verbal promise of signing to the label of the victim. Both suits are by different individuals.
However, his management denied that he got any gifts from anyone for any such deals. The report has it that he got a Bentley car for himself, a wristwatch, as well as a Mercedes-Benz car for his mother.

Although the actual net worth of Park Hyo Shin is not known, what is known is that he is doing well for himself financially.
Nonetheless, he has also been having challenges that might have affected his fortune. In 2015, he was fined 5 million Won ($4,600) as a result of an attempt he made to evade payment of the debt to his former agency which was said to be in compensation for certain damages.
