Aaron Carter’s sister, Bobbie Jean was arrested on drug and theft charges in Hernando County. She allegedly stole six Hobby Lobby items worth about $55. She was seen taking the items off the shelves and putting them in her purse but walked out of the store without paying.
Bobbie Jean was booked on one count of retail theft and one count of possession of fentanyl, which was found in her purse. Reports say the rapper’s sister has threatened to hurt herself, hence she has been placed on suicide watch while still in jail at the moment.
Why Was Bobbie Jean Arrested?
On June 10, 2023, Nick and Aaron Carter’s sister Bobbie Jean was arrested after allegedly stealing six Hobby Lobby items valued at $55. According to reports, the Hobby Lobby loss prevention team saw her taking items off the shelves into her purse. She tried walking out of the store without attempting to pay for the goods.
While she was being searched in the store’s loss prevention office, Bobbie tried to toss a powder blue container under the desk when the sheriff’s deputies grabbed it. The container had 1.3 grams of white powder and 0.8 grams of purple powder inside. After it was tested, the officers discovered it was fentanyl.
She threatened to hurt herself
Upon her arrest, Nick Carter’s sister threatened to hurt herself saying she would have to kill herself and as a result of that, the authorities decided to place her on suicide watch. Bobbie Jean was booked on one count of retail theft and one count of possession of fentanyl.
At the time of this writing, she is still in custody and has not posted a bond. However, there are reports that claim it is not the first time Jean was arrested. She was arrested back in 2002 for two counts of battery after she allegedly attacked two women on Halloween.
For that reason, she was ordered to attend anger management classes and also refrain from contacting the victims. She was again arrested for DUI twice between 2003 to 2008.
In 2003, she was arrested after someone reported her rough driving. When the police arrived and asked for her license and registration, she refused to show the documents. It was in the process that the police discovered she had been drinking. The second DUI arrest was in 2008.

Bobbie Jean has lost two siblings due to drug abuse
Apparently, Bobbie Jean is not the only one that has been seen with drugs in her family. The younger sister of Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter is the second of five children in her family.
Two of her siblings died at a young age due to battles with addiction and mental health issues. On January 31, 2012, Bobbie’s younger sister, Leslie Carter died of a drug overdose at the age of 25. Leslie was found unconscious at her father’s home in New York.
On November 5, 2022, Bobbie Jean’s brother Aaron was found unconscious in a bathtub at his home in Lancaster, California. According to police reports, cans of compressed air and prescription pills were found in his bathroom and bedroom.
