In ‘Faces’, his independently-released mixtape, Miller aired his thoughts about the death of Philip Seymour Hoffman who died as a result of drug intoxication. Larry in his lyrics proclaimed:

He also went ahead to talk about his own use of cocaine, codeine cough syrup as well as angel dust.

Cameron James Pettit was said to have sold fake oxycodone pills that had in it fentanyl two days before his death. It was also stated that Miller could have used the drugs before his death. Also, Pettit and the other men involved in the drugs were indicted on charges of conspiracy and drugs resulting in death.
