1. Jakob Nowell Lost His Father Barely A Year After His Birth
Nowell did not have the opportunity of having his father around for a long time. The death came when Jakob was 11 months old.

When Sublime set out for a tour in Northern California, the older Nowell met his death as a result of a heroin overdose on May 25, 1996, at the age of 28. He was cremated and his ashes were spread over his favorite surfing spot in Surfside, California. In his memory, they placed a headstone at Westminster Memorial, California.

Bradley was well-known to be a lover of his dog Louie – a name given to the dog after Bradley’s grandfather and Jakob’s great-grandfather. The dog was popularly known as Lou Dog, was featured in Sublime albums.
And referred to in several of the band’s music lines in songs like ‘What I Got’ and’ Garden Grove’. In addition, the dog was allowed to wander on stage during some of the band’s performances. In 2001, the dog died of old age.

11. Two Years Clean
As stated, the Law’s frontman has also suffered addiction like his father but has gotten over it. Already, he has gone over two years clean. He continues his music with his band, with which he released an album in 2018, “There and Back Again.”

Jakob and Ashlyn met each other in 2014 and started dating almost immediately. 5 years after he proposed to her with a ring. He did that before a crowd on stage by going down on one knee to engage her on 22nd September 2019.
