The multi-award winning Hannibal star, lost his home in the devastating California wildfires that have swept through Los Angeles, leaving him and many other people completely devastated.
The 87-year-old legendary actor has become the latest addition to the list of Hollywood elites who have lost their homes as the horrifying wildfires ravage the area. At the moment, no fewer than 30,000 residents are under evacuation orders, and many celebrities are also among those who have been affected by the raging fires.
Anthony Hopkins, who bought a luxurious four-bedroom, five-bathroom home in the Pacific Palisades for $6 million in 2021, has lost the property to the devastating flames.
Photos taken of the burnt property show the charred remains of the classic colonial home, with only a scorched fence left as a haunting reminder of the once-beautiful property.
The purchase of the house marked a fresh start for the Oscar-winning actor, who had recently sold his long-time oceanfront Malibu property for $10.5 million—more than double the amount he paid for it in 2001. Sadly, this is not the first time Hopkins’ home has been threatened by devastating flames.
Recall that sometime back in November 2018, the actor’s palatial home had narrowly escaped being razed in the Woolsey fire. At the tine, the fires had burned down his neighbor’s property. And this is not all; going even further back to 2000, Anthony Hopkins lost his London home in a fire too. Luckily, the was safe in Los Angeles at the time this happened.
This most recent loss of his Los Angeles home has left the actor horrified.
While the raging fires persist in the destruction it’s causing, Hopkins and many others are struggling with the devastating loss of their homes in one of the areas hardest affected in Los Angeles.
