1. Crazy Love: Overwhelmed by a Relentless God

A New York Bestseller and an award-winning book, Crazy Love is one of the best books ever written by Francis Chan. The book was also co-authored by Danae Yankoski with a foreword by Chris Tomlin.

The book which has been described as “a message that Christians desperately need to hear” by Challies.com is about the love of God by an average Christian and how this love can be developed into “crazy love”.

For Christians who are interested in a relationship with God beyond lukewarm, this is a must-read.
The book has influenced Christians in different ways. In popular culture, it inspired the titular song for Hawk Nelson’s fifth studio album Crazy Love (2011).

2. Forgotten God

For every Christian and Chuch, the Holy Spirit is important and this book gives a clear insight into how the Church sometimes misses the Holy Spirit. Reading this book which is also known as Forgotten God: Reversing Our Tragic Neglect of the Holy Spirit allows you to have a better understanding of the Holy Spirit and its importance in the life of every Christian.

The book which is the second of Chan was published in 2009 and co-authored with Danae Yankoski. It is a follow-up to Crazy Love.

3. You and Me Forever: Marriage in Light of Eternity

Francis Chan and his wife Lisa Chan wrote You and Me Forever – a book written to help couples or intended couples have a godly marriage. In this book, the goal is not only to focus on love and having a good marriage but also to focus on listening to God while making him the center of your union.

In You and Me Forever, Chan has given a true-life scenario, using his marriage to serve as an example and to help readers understand better.

4. Until Unity

Until Unity is one of Francis Chan’s books to read. The book encourages Christians to leave sin and strive for unity. It pays attention to how the Church is divided and the less love and more jealousy going on.

5. Letters to the Church

Chan tells of his struggles and shares the stories of other people, relating them to what the Bible says. He calls the Church for what it is today what it was and what it could have been. This book moves for a change in the attitude of a Christian.

This book is important to Christians who struggle and who feel strayed. It is a 224-page book, published in 2018, and with insight into the ideal life of a Christian.

6. The Big Red Tractor and the Little Village

This book is a short story mainly for kids. It is about a small farming town that just got a tractor but unfortunately, it was too complex for them to handle. One of them discovered an old manual that reveals everything about the tractor.

The depth of the book is not about a tractor or people in a small farming community. Rather, it is about the Spirit’s power to fulfill God’s purpose.

7. Follow Me: A Call to Die. A Call to Live

A true disciple of Jesus Christ must have a true encounter with the Savior. They must understand the nature of Jesus, and who He is, and know the price of following Him.

In this book, as the name implies, it’s about following Christ and the things that come with it. It is written by David Platt, the author of Radical: Taking Back Your Faith from the American Dream and Francis Chan is a co-author.

8. Ronnie Wilson’s Gift

This is one of Chan’s children’s books. It is an illustrated book that tells the story of Ronnie Wilson, a young boy who learns of Jesus’ sacrifice, he wants to give Jesus a gift in return. But how can he get it to heaven? With each attempt, he performs a simple act of service for someone in need and eventually learns that what is done for the least in God’s kingdom is done for Jesus himself.

9. Halfway Herbert

Although this is a Christian children’s book (Ages 4 to 8) written by Chan and illustrated by Matt Daniels, adults can enjoy it too. In the book, Hebert goes through difficulty in completing tasks – from leaving his homework halfway to his inability to finish his dinner and arranging his room.

His Christian life has followed the same pattern but telling half-truth lands him in big trouble.

10. Erasing Hell: What God said about Eternity, and the things we made up

Life is not about living and dying but also living an eternal life – whether being in heaven with God forever or risking it. The book opens up with what Jesus says about eternity and whether everyone will be saved.

11. Multiply: Disciples Making Disciples

As time progresses, people no longer share the gospel of Christ. Instead, the world mostly feels that it is the work of preachers and evangelists.

This Francis Chan book opens up on the need to be Christ’s disciple and bring people to his kingdom in little or big ways.
