A year after their engagement, Gandolfini and Deborah decided to take their relationship a step higher. The pair got married in Honolulu, Hawaii, Deborah Lin’s hometown on August 30, 2008.
During the occasion, a harpist played the Hawaiian Wedding Song in the background while Lin, dressed in a white gown of Italian lace, walked down the aisle toward her fiancé, who was waiting in a tux in the Central Union Church. Michael, Gandolfini’s then eight-year-old son from his previous marriage served as the best man for him as he exchanged vows with Deborah amid a field of white lilies.
After the wedding, the couple headed to a nearby resort in a white limo for the evening celebration.

Deborah Lin Remained by Her Husband’s Side Till His Sudden Demise in 2013

James Gandolfini tragically died on June 19, 2013, while on vacation in Italy with Deborah and their kids. Around 10 p.m., after spending the day in the intense heat sightseeing with his family at the Boscolo Exedra Hotel, his then-14-year-old son Michael found him unconscious on the floor of his hotel room. Michael called the reception, who then contacted the paramedics. Gandolfini arrived the hospital around 10:40 p.m. Unfortunately, twenty minutes later, he was declared dead. According to an autopsy, he had a heart attack.
His death was a shock to fans around the world, and Deborah undoubtedly mourned the loss of her beloved husband deeply. Gandolfini’s death was a bitter pill for his wife who had to raise her young daughter and stepson alone.
