From growing up on a farm in Vermont to living in the Big Apple, the story of Cemi Briggs-Guzman is quite interesting. Cemi Briggs-Guzman Early Life and Background
Cemi Briggs-Guzman comes from a relatively large family. His parents Luis Guzman and Angelita Galarza-Guzman had him and his siblings four as the product of their four decades of union. His parents have one biological child and four adopted children. Cemi was the first one to be adopted after Luis Guzman lost his first baby during childbirth as a result of suffocation in 1991.
His sister, Yemaya was adopted after Cemi followed by the twins Yoruba and Margarita. Luna is the only biological child of Luis and Angelita.
Also called Cemi Guzman, the actor grew up on his family’s farm in Vermont. He grew up raring animals—a typical country life.
About his childhood, Cemi once mentioned he was a somewhat troubled child, and that he was even expelled from St. John Academy, his high school.
Later, his love for massage made him enroll at the Swedish Massage Institute in New York after which he worked as a massage therapist for a while. According to the actor, he practices once in a while.

Luis Guzman’s Son is the founder of Dark Rabbit Productions
Cemi Guzman is following in the footsteps of his father. While his father has made a mark in the entertainment industry, Cemi has started showcasing his talents to the world.
His LinkedIn account states that he founded Dark Rabbit Productions, which he and his father have worked under. In 2019, the father-son duo produced and acted Hold On. Besides his father, Cemi has worked with several actors including William Baldwin, Brooke Shields, Brandon Routh, and Lois Robbins.
Some of his acting credits include Frankie, Out of Order, Alone at Night, Story Ave, and Blowtorch.
In addition, he revealed in a podcast that he has another production company, Pink Rose Production.
Cemi Guzman-man of many hats

Acting is not his only thing, Luis’s son started as a model. According to him, he still models for some brands. He revealed his catch for the modeling gigs has to be his hair.
He is also a poet and has a poetry series. That aside, he intends to add a “jewelry designer” to his portfolio. He mentioned in an interview that he and a friend were working to design pieces of jewelry.
As an artist, Cemi has a mixed-media original painting of a multi-colored gorilla which was gracefully shared by his father in January 2019.
Another thing Cemi Guzman loves is public speaking. The actor started giving speeches even before he went into acting. His public speaking gig was in high school when he talked about how he was adopted and how he felt about adoption.
Ever since, he has been delivering lectures at NYU, as well as other acting clubs.
Before now, the younger Guzman used to volunteer at The Bowery Mission in 2015. The organization was saddled with the responsibility of eradicating poverty in New York City.
His LinkedIn Bio indicates he has been working as a spokesperson for NIMBY since July 2012.

Cemi’s sister Yemaya studied Visual Communications at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising and has worked as an assistant stylist for the MTV film Teen Wolf. She also worked as an assistant at Scene Magazine New Orleans. She has been working as a freelance costumier since November 2015.
Also a social media influencer, Yemaya has collaborated with beauty brand Rude Cosmetics in 2018 to release the Undaunted Blush Palette.
In June 2021, she was seen at the world premiere of the birthday cake movie in Las Vegas alongside her brother, Cemi, and their father, Luis.
The Hold Up actor’s sister Luna-Aurora is also an artist. She describes herself as an abstract artist and has shared some of her artworks with her followers on social media.
