The former actress ended her acting career in 2001 to focus on building her family. This was after her role as Becky Purdue in the television series “Due East”. A few years later, she decided to pursue a career as an artist which spurred her interest to study arts in 2009.
Following this, she explored several fields such as portraiture, painting, and sketching. Since then, he continued to make portraits and drawings of objects and people until 2016 when he decided to fully focus on making portraits of homeless people.
She made her debut exhibition in “Unaccompanied,” which was a solo show, on display at Columbus State University’s Bo Bartlett Centre. The series was a collection of life-size busts and portraits of homeless children and teenagers who live in several marginalized areas of several American cities, such as Chicago, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, San Francisco, St. Louis, and New York.
Aside from the popularity her paintings have garnered, they have also raised awareness of the problem of homelessness in these areas. She was last spotted alongside her husband Spielberg sometime in March 2023, at the 95th annual Academy Awards.

Kate relocated to New York City from Texas to pursue acting and landed her first role in the soap opera “The Edge of Night”. She later starred in films such as A Little Sex”, Dreamscape”, ” Black Rain”, “Just Cause”, ‘How to Make an American Quin” and “The Love Letter”.

Kate Capshaw’s first child is Jessica Capshaw, a product of her first marriage to her first husband, Robert “Bob” Capshaw. She was born in 1978 and she was 46 years old at the moment.
Jessica followed in her mother’s footsteps and pursued a career in acting. She appeared in several plays while attending Brown University and later made her big-screen debut in The Locusts alongside her mom.
