Mark Eubanks Sr., father of Christopher Eubanks from Arizona, Georgia is one of 10 children. He was very close to his brother, Dr. Samuel Eubanks who is about 17 years older than him.
Samuel exposed Mark Sr. to tennis. However, both men didn’t go far but Samuel’s son, Samuel Graham Eubanks III “Trey” went ahead to become a good player. In fact, he played at Michigan State University from 1996 to 1999 and holds an impressive record.
In fact, Trey also trained with Chris – an aspect that has equally helped the 28-year-old to become great.

Mark Eubanks, an African-American has served as a Church’s minister for over 3 decades but this is not why he is famous. His fame is linked to his son Christopher and how he helped in showing the 6 feet 7 inches tall tennis player the path to tennis.
Mark Sr. never actually played the sport (professionally of course). But he did learn the technicalities while casually playing with colleagues from the airline he worked for.
At first, it was Christopher’s brother Mark Jr. who was training with the preacher. But about the time Christopher was about 2 to 3 years old, his father gave him a racket.
He noticed the toddler’s ability to hold the racket well and it never remained the same. He continued to teach both sons before Chris met tennis player Donald Young whose father is a tennis coach. It was Young Sr. who coached the player.
