Following the marriage of Robin Thicke and Paula Patton in 2005, the then-couple welcomed their son Julian on 6 April 2010. At the time Julian was born, Thicke was to perform at the Staples Center but he canceled it.
The 14-year-old is the oldest child of the Lost Without You singer. In 2017, after Julian’s parents divorced, his father went announced he was expecting a child with his girlfriend model April Love Geary. Robin and April’s daughter, Mia was born on February 22, 2018.
Julian’s other step-sister, Lola was born on February 26, 2019, and in December 2020, his father and his girlfriend welcomed their third child, Luca.
All his step-siblings are through his father. As for his mother, Julian seems to be the only child.
He was allegedly traumatized by his parents’ custody battle
After almost nine years of marriage and 21 years of being together, Julian’s mother filed for a divorce in 2014, at the time Julia and barely four years. Fast forward to 2017, the custody battle between Robin and Paula became so nasty that the family’s nanny allegedly called 911. The nanny also revealed that Julian was scared and had refused to see his father during a pre-arranged custody visit. According to the report, Robin Thicke also violated a restraining order.
During that time, the actress accused her ex-husband of physically abusing Julian but the singer denied all the allegations against him. Apparently, Julian reported to his school authorities that his father spanked him more than once and that led to an investigation by the Department of Child and Family Services.
On the contrary, photos of Julian and his father on social media showed that they seemed to be having a great time at a beach and on a boat.
However, the nanny revealed during the 911 call that Julian cried and prayed to the angels each time he knew he was visiting his father.
After he lost the temporary sole custody to Paula, Robin was to visit Julian three days a week at a neutral location. Also, he was to stay 100 yards away from Patton.
Regardless of that, Robin Thicke reportedly tried to remain close to his son but sources claim his ex-wife did not want it hence she kept trying to pitch the public against the singer.
In the court documents presented by Patton, she alleged that Thicke physically and verbally abused her, cheated on her throughout their marriage and he struggled with drug and alcohol addiction.
In August 2017, Patton and Thicke worked out a custody arrangement after a contentious custody battle. The court ordered the former couple to share in all major decisions regarding Julian Fuego’s health, education, and welfare.
Amid his parent’s messy custody battle, Julian reportedly suffered emotional trauma. Hence, the court also stated that Julian would have to go for individual therapy and also therapy with both his parents.

Robin Thicke’s son is a talented singer and a fashion enthusiast
Julian Fuego Thicke is a talented singer. His father once shared a video in which he sang the lead in a performance. In the same video clip, Julian was seen on stage with a choir singing the lead for the cover of Sara Bareilles’s Little Voice. He also participated in a talent show where he performed George Michael’s Freedom.
