Tina Turner’s siblings are Evelyn Juanita Currie and Alline Bullock. The former is her half-sibling born from her mother’s relationship with Percy Lovelace while the latter is her biological sister.

Evelyn Juanita Currie was Tina’s Half-Sibling
Tina Turner’s oldest sister is Evelyn Juanita Currie however, they only share the same mother. Evelyn was birthed from her mother’s relationship with Percy Lovelace on April 13, 1934. From the records, she grew up in Haywood County, Tennessee, USA but was later sent to live with their grandmother Georgeanna Currie in Brownsville, Tennessee after her mother abandoned her and her siblings.
Unfortunately, Evelyn died in her prime on January 31, 1954, four months before her 20th birthday, and was only 19 years old at the time. According to what we garnered, the Tennessee native was involved in an automobile accident alongside her cousin, Margeret Currie. Even though she didn’t die on the spot like her cousin, she sustained several injuries which later claimed her life.
She was buried at Woodlawn M.B. Church Cemetery in Nutbush, Haywood County, Tennessee, USA.

Tina Turner’s Sister, Alline Bullock was a SongWriter
Tina Turner’s only biological sister was Alline Bullock. She was born Ruby Alline Bullock Selico on December 1, 1936, to her parents Floyd Robert Bullock and Zelma Priscilla Currie. Like her sister, she was also raised in Haywood County, Tennessee, USA, and later Brownsville, Tennessee when her mother left them.
Even though Alline also suffered the abandonment of her mother, Tina Turner recalls that she was the favorite child of her mother. In Tina’s 2021 documentary, she revealed that her mother was not kind to her and didn’t like her. According to her, the abusive relationship her mother endured with her father affected their relationship stating that she was born on the verge of their breakup.
Nonetheless, Alline turned out to be a great inspiration to her younger sister Tina as the pair shared a lot in common including forging a path in the music industry.
As you would find, Alline was a songwriter who mostly wrote songs for “Ike & Tina Turner”, “Kings of Rhythm”, and other reputable bands and artists. Some of the songs she wrote include, “Love Is a Game”, “Funkier Than a Mosquita’s Tweeter” and “Happy but Lonely”. Prior to this, she was in charge of the Ike & Tina Turners business team. Alline also managed the girl’s group known as “The Ikettes” before it was changed to “The Mirettes”.
While there are no accounts of Alline’s marriage we garnered that she was in a relationship with a man identified as Selico and had a daughter named Jacquline Bullock. Away from her personal life, she was the one who begged her sister to leave her abusive marriage.
Unfortunately, Tina Turner’s sister, Alline Bullock died on September 4, 2010, and was 73 years old at the time. Her body was cremated and the ashes were scattered in Redondo Beach, CA.
