The Canadian actress was discovered while on a trip to Paris where she visited her friend. There she was opportune to meet with Karl Lagerfeld, the renowned and respected German designer.
Karl was quick to spot that Dara was talented and soon cast her to be a model for fashion house, Chloe.
At the age of 18, the Toronto born was already a huge deal in the modeling industry. She even became the face of the fashion house and that was the stage her career needed to plunge her into further limelight.

Tomanovich established the Innovative Projects Company in 2010 as a means of bridging the space between artists, architects, and investors. The company is located in New York City and what she does is to match talents with prospective investors.
Innovative Projects is responsible for the connection made between lighting architect Herve Descottes with Alexander Vik. Vik created Vik Vineyard and Hotel in Chile.

Bill Hemmer is a writer and producer whose popularity mostly stems from ‘America’s Newsroom’. Dara and the producer had a long relationship that spanned from 2005 to 2013.
The couple were mostly tight-lipped about details of their relationship but they attended a lot of events together. Their first remembered public appearance was at Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 2005.
In 2014, the model was rumored to have moved on to another relationship. It was speculated that Dara was dating Prince Andrew of Britain.
