Did Kouri Richins Kill Her Husband, Eric?
According to allegations, Kouri killed her husband on March 4, 2022, using fentanyl.
According to reports, Richins and her husband celebrated her closing on a house for her business. She then prepared a Moscow Mule (a cocktail made with vodka) in the kitchen and took it to her spouse in their bedroom.
Kouri then exited to retire one of their three children to bed because the child was having a night terror.
Upon her return to the couple’s room around 3 a.m., she realized that Eric was cold and she called 991. This revelation is according to a court document.
Furthermore, it has been revealed that Richins died from an overdose of fentanyl that was “approximately five times the lethal dosage”. Again, this fentanyl was not medical grade one and in the reports, Eric ingested it orally.
Since there was no one on the property at the time except the couple and their three children, questions were raised and there were pointers that Kouri may have been responsible for the death of her husband.
At the time of his death, Eric was 39 and would have been 40 on May 13.
Why Kouri is a Major Suspect in Her Late Husband’s Murder
In numerous reports, paying attention to court documents, Eric had confided in his sister that Kouri had tried to poison him in Greece.
Also, on Valentine’s Day on 14 February 2022, only a month prior to the demise, the couple had a meal, and just right after, Eric fell very ill. It has been revealed that he told a very close friend that his wife may have poisoned him.
In another report, it was found by the authority that Kouri had made contact with a certain C.L. who is believed to be her acquaintance. C.L. already had his name as a drug dealer with multiple charges in the past.
Kouri made contact with C.L. between December 2021 and February 2022. She told C.L. about an investor who had a back injury and was in need of some prescription pain medication.
First, her accomplice gave her hydrocodone pills which she asked that he left them at a house she was working on. In exchange, she left some money.
Apparently, the pills did not serve their purpose and she reached out to him again after two weeks. This time, she specifically asked for “some of the Michael Jackson stuff” which is believed to be fentanyl.
Based on court documents, the pills were delivered to her by C.L. for $900.
Moreso, heavy.com revealed that Eric’s family told investigators that Kouri may have been responsible for the death of her husband. This revelation is based on the claim that he had earlier told them that she should be held responsible if anything happened to him.
She Thought She Would Get $3.6 Million After Eric’s Death
Kouri’s husband was worth $3.6 million in estate and she would inherit it if he died before a divorce – or so she thought.
Unknowingly to her, Eric changed his will and put everything, including personal property into the masonry business he ran with his friend, Cody Wright. Then, he named the eldest of his two sisters in sole control.
This led to a lawsuit by Kouri in which she disputed the will and claimed that the money was rightfully hers as their prenup had stated that if either of them died while they were still legally married, the other would inherit them.
She also claimed that Richins tried to defraud her by taking legal actions with the intention to keep away his business and property away from her.
