Kelly Hyland and her Daughter’s Time on Dance Moms Ended Badly After 4 Seasons

This however lasted until 2014 when Kelly quit the show just before getting fired, and she took her girls with her. The reason for the Hyland girls leaving the show was widely publicized.
According to what most viewers saw, Brooke Hyland’s mother slapped and pulled the hair of the founder of ALDC. Kelly clarified this scenario by stating that she was provoked and that she only got physical after Abby plunged at her trying to bite her.
The beginning of the altercation was based on Kelly’s claims that Abby was ill-treating her daughter. She then had to speak up for her daughter which led to a physical exchange.
Eventually, Abby pressed charges against Kelly for misdemeanor assault but it was later dropped.
After a while, Kelly sued Abby and the entire ALDC production team for coercion into lashing out. The charges were later dropped as it seemed like they settled out of court. The production team was however made to pay a fine of $17,500 to fix her house’s wooden floor which was damaged by them.
At the end of the day, Kelly and her daughters settled with Abby and were even in agreement that the show could continue using their likenesses and giving them credit. The catch was that the Hyland girls would continue to receive payment for those, including royalties.
