Harlee McBride was Richard Belzer’s Wife Until His Death in 2023
As you would easily find, Harlee was the third wife of Richard Belzer. The pair were married from 1985 until Richard’s unfortunate demise at 78 in 2023. From what we garnered, Harlee and Richard first met on a blind date in Los Angeles sometime in the 80s after being connected by a friend.
They soon became friends and started dating in 1981. This period saw Richard suffer a series of testicular cancer attacks but was declared free in 1983 and two years later, he decided to tie the knot with Harlee. Their wedding ceremony was held in Los Angeles and honored by family members and close friends.
Richard’s third wife is a former model, actress, and producer known for her role as Dr. Alyssa in Homicide: Life on the Street and as Cynthia Chatterley in Young Lady Chatterley I & II.
Before her marriage to Richard, she was married and divorced from former actor Garth Benton. Information about her previous marriage remains unknown however, it saw them birth two children Jessica Erin Benton and Shannon Bree Benton.

Unfortunately, Ross’s marriage to Richard ended in 1972 after being together for 6 years.
Four years after Richard divorced his first wife, he moved on with Dalia Danoch, a boutique manager. The pair started dating in 1975 and got married the following year. Like his first marriage, this also ended in divorce before their second anniversary.

Harlee McBride’s Husband Did Not Have Any Biological Children

While it’s unknown if it was Richard’s decision not to have children, he reportedly had a troubled childhood. He stated that his mother was physically abusive towards him and his brother. As a result, he always found a way to escape. The actor added that his comedic talents were also spurned in an attempt to make her mother laugh.
In an interview, Richard revealed that his wife Harlee taught him a lot of things about children. According to him, when his daughters did something wrong, he had the impulse to lash them out just like his mother would do. However, he stated that his wife taught him how to love children regardless of their disposition. As a result, he found a way of controlling his anger toward the kids.
