It seems all James Hetfield’s children are somewhat involved in music just like him. The co-founder of the Metallic band, James Hetfield once shared the stage with his talented daughter Cali Tee, 26. Castor; 24, his only son, is a member of a band called Bastardane.
Having been married for over two decades, the father-of-three decided to file for divorce in early 2022. However, the former couple is reportedly still in contact as they continue to raise their three children together.

1. Cali Tee Hetfield
Born June 13, 1998, Cali Tee Hetfield is the oldest child of the rhythm guitarist and his soon-to-be ex-wife, Francesa. As an aspiring singer, Cali Tee has shared the stage with her famous father a couple of times.
In 2015, Cali Tee and her father performed an acoustic rendition of Adele’s Crazy For You during the annual Acoustic-4-A-Cure benefit concert in San Francisco. Apparently, that was not the only time the two shared a father-daughter moment on stage. They also performed at the same event in 2016.
Aside from her music career, James Hetfield’s oldest daughter is said to have earned a Bachelor of Arts in Furniture Design from Rhode Island School.
2. Castor Hetfield
Basterdane’s drummer, Castor Hetfield is the only son James Hetfield and Francesca shared in their marriage. The 24 year-old drummer once revealed that he finds it annoying when people try to compare his work in Basterdane to that of his father in Metallica.
Owning to the fact that he and the original members of his band grew up listening to different kinds of music, Castor has revealed that his biggest influences have been Opeth, Tool, and Corrosion of Conformity.
Castor’s band, Bastardane is a hard rock trio group that originated from Savannah, Georgia. The band’s style of music is often described as having high-gain riffs with clean melodic feedback. The band released its debut album, Is This Rage, in March 2022.
Castor Hetfield has been busy going on tours and performing concerts with the band.
3. Marcella Francesca
Although she was raised off the radar, Marcella is very active on social media where she shares random information with her followers. She runs an online store where she sells designer dresses and accessories.

James Hetfield and Francesca Hetfield Met Almost Three Decades Ago
The Rosario native, Francesca Hetfield, used to work as a waitress before she eventually established her career as a costume designer. She met James while she was working as the wardrobe designer of Metallica in 1992.
Five years after they started dating, they got married in August 1997 and welcomed their children afterward. Although the couple prefers keeping their relationship away from the limelight, James Hetfield has revealed that the mother of his children helped him deal with his anger issues.
Beside his anger issues, the father of three has also fought an addiction battle which made him enter a rehab program in 2001. According to reports, the rock singer had previously gone into rehab in 2019 after struggling with alcohol addiction.

Following the reports by TMZ regarding James and Francesca’s divorce, it is speculated that the couple would co-parent their three children. The news of the divorce broke in August 2022 but it is said that it was initially filed earlier that year.
James Hetfield and his soon-to-be ex-wife have been together since 1997. No matter how things turn out between the two, the interest of the children is said to be the priority of the alleged crashing union.
