Tony Bennett’s son Dae Bennett began his musical career as a rock drummer several years ago while he was still nurturing his interest in music production and record. He has worked hard to fill his father’s shoes and that has been recognized throughout his career.

Dae Bennett Is the Second Child of Tony Bennett
Born October 1955, Daegal Bennett was born to Tony Bennett and his ex-wife, Patricia Beech. His older brother D’Andrea was born in 1954, two years after his parents married.
His name ‘Daegal’ is derived from Scandinavian and it means “day”. Shortly after he was born, his parents started having marital issues due to his father’s constant travels. Later on, the whole family moved to Englewood where he was raised with his brother.

1. Dae Bennett Built His Studio in His Late 20s
69 year-old producer grew up in close quarters with his father and that made him develop a keen interest in music from an early age. He opened his first professional studio called Hillside Sound. The studio was launched in 2001 and it operated from that time 2011.The Hillside studio was initially a small one-room studio but regardless of its size, some top artists have recorded there. Some of the artists include Queen Latifah, George Benson, and Dizzy Gillespie.
Although he lives in Tenafly, he still retains his studio in Englewood. The only constraint with the studio is that recording sessions must be paused each time a train passes.
Aside from his old studio, Dae revealed some times back that he was in the process of building a state-of-art production center in Englewood’s downtown. The studio was to be named Bennett Studios and it would incorporate music recording, television and cable production, and webcasting.
After the new studio was launched in 2000, it became known as one of the most successful studio facilities on the American East Coast. Out of all the albums recorded there, 18 won Grammy Awards.
2. His Father’s Music Career Cost Him His First Marriage
Dae’s parents separated in 1965 and in 1969 his mother sued his father for divorce on grounds of adultery, The divorce was finalized in 1971.
Following the divorce of his parents, his father became involved with an aspiring actress Sandra Grant and she birthed him two daughters Joanna and Antonia before they divorce yet again in 1983.
Dae’s father started a relationship with a former New York City schoolteacher, Susan Crow in the late 1980s. The legendary singer revealed he met his wife even before she was born. Crow’s mother once posed with the older Bennett while she was still pregnant.
Susan married Tony in a private civil ceremony in New York on June 21, 2007. Despite the challenges they have been through, their marriage has stood the test of time.
3. Dae Bennett is Reportedly Older Than His Father’s Wife
Tony Bennett is said to be older than his wife Susan. The 40 years gap between the two has not been a barrier in their relationship. Also, Tony’s third wife is younger than his two sons. While Susan is 58 years old, Dae is 69 year-old. There’s a decade age difference between Dae and his stepmom.
4. Is He Married?
According to reports, the former drummer is married to Anita Bennett and they share two sons: Austin and Jared. He used to live with his family in Tenafly.

4. Aside from Music, His Father Has Served in the Army
The Multiple award winner was drafted into United States Army in November 1944. Tony Bennett was trained at Fort Dix and Fort Robinson as part of becoming an infantry rifleman.
After he was discharged from the army, he returned to the US in 1946 and started working on his music career.
5. Dae Bennett and All His Siblings Are into Show Business
The icon singer’s children all decided to venture into the show business like him. Dae’s older brother Danny has worked with his father closely as his manager and has produced most of his father’s music.
