Galloway moved to Austin and was known to go for open-mic shows where he’d play music. Eventually, he met and teamed up with Val before adding Mike to their group. Mike was a veteran guitarist in the Austin music scene and had worked with The Tubes band.
At the inclusion of Jason Armstrong as a drummer, Uncle Lucius was birthed and they took form. By 2006, the band had worked on and released a project. Their first album titled ‘Something They Ain’t’ began to make waves in the Austin music scene. They released the album by themselves under their record label and then became famous for local tours.
With the exit of Jason Armstrong and then Greco replacing him, they released their second album in 2009 titled ‘Pick Your Head Up’. They had a record deal with ‘eOne’ which didn’t last for long and they went back to independent recording. However, by now, they had already made a mark in the Austin music scene.
