Sharon Marley is the adopted daughter of the Reggae legend Bob Marley. She is a Jamaican singer, dancer, and curator.
Sharon Marley used to be part of the group Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers where she won three Grammy awards.
She and her siblings formed the melody makers after their father passed. Their vision was to unite people through their music just as their father had wished. The group disbanded officially in 2002.
Marley has made an appearance in the movie ‘The Might Quinn as Judy. Her song I’m Hurting Inside was used as a soundtrack in the movie.

Her parents met in the mid-1960s after she met Peter Tosh and she was asked to audition for the group Soulettes since she was a singer as well.
Her parents fell in love while working together in the group. Rita and Bob Marley met Sharon was just 8 months old.
She is the adopted sister of Cedella Marley, Ziggy Marley, Stephen Marley, and Stephanie Marley.

The Melody Makers topped the charts with their hit singles, tomorrow people, everyone wants to be, Look Who’s dancing and Power to Move Ya.

Even though she was raised in a Rasta family, she disagrees and feels unhappy about how Rastafarian women are treated by their men. She said Rasta men put so much burden on their women. Aside from that, she mentioned that men don’t want their women to look good and wear makeup.
4. Her mother reburied her father in his motherland
Rita Marley planned to exhume the body of Bob Marley in 2005 and reburied him in Ethiopia which is believed to be his resting place. The reggae legend was initially buried in Jamaica for more than two decades. He died of cancer in 1981 at the age of 36.

5. Sharon Marley was born a caregiver
Marley, who is the eldest child of the reggae queen and king so she had to take care of her younger siblings since their parents were always on tour. Also, having to take care of her four children all by herself after her divorce helped her create more interest in children and young ones.
She revealed she had an interest in child care and child development. She said in an interview that she would want to pursue formal training in nursing during her extra time.
