1. 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (1954)
This is one the most daring and intriguing submarines ever filmed. It features a thick storyline, masterful set pieces, and an incredible musical score.
It also features fantastic characters in a stunningly beautiful narrative. James Mason portrays the ship’s captain paired brilliantly with Kirk Douglas who plays a fearless lone-wolf seaman.
